The removal van has been overnight: on-demand and catch-up content
from Home and Really have moved house to the new Dplay service, which
debuts in the UK and Ireland today.
Following the acquisition of the two TV channels earlier this year by Discovery, on-demand content from Home and Really has now left UKTV Play.
Dplay users can now access both catch-up and on-demand boxsets from both channels, joining content from Quest, Quest Red, Food Network and DMAX.
Dplay is the replacement for QuestOD, bringing all of Discovery's free-to-air channels under one roof on mobile, tablet and desktop devices across the UK and Ireland. The launch of Dplay in the UK is the latest in a series of global expansions for the brand, which already operates in Scandinavia, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands and Spain.
And with Home about to undergo its own change to HGTV in the UK and Ireland, Dplay users can now access selected HGTV programmes that have already landed on the channel, including Income Property and Hawaii Life.
Additional devices will support Dplay UK/ROI from early 2020.
