BT Sport Ultimate extended to Sky and app customers

BT has announced it's extending the availability of its Ultimate sports package to include Sky customers.

BT Sport Ultimate was first launched earlier in the year allowing mobile users to access live games in HD and High Dynamic Range (HDR).

Starting Friday 22nd November, BT Sport Ultimate will be opened up as an add-on to Sky customers who take BT Sport and customers who subscribe to BT Sport's app. The service is available to add from £5 a month.

As part of the expansion, from this weekend, BT Sport Ultimate subscribers will for the first time be able enjoy selected programming in stunning 4K UHD and HDR via Samsung smart TVs (2017 and later models), Xbox One games consoles and Chromecast Ultra streaming devices in addition to HD HDR broadcasts on mobile.

Sky customers with BT Sport who sign up to BT Sport Ultimate will be able to access HDR not through their Sky box, but via mobile or in 4K UHD via one of devices listed above.

Upcoming events on BT Sport Ultimate that are available in 4K UHD with HDR include the UEFA Champions League match featuring Tottenham Hotspur v Olympiacos on Tuesday 26th November at 8pm) and Liverpool v Napoli on Wednesday 27th November at 8pm.

BT has confirmed that it will show up to 70 live events in HDR this season, including the UEFA Champions League, Premier League and more.

Pete Oliver, managing director, marketing, of BT’s consumer division, said:
