Friday night horror of a breakdown slide

A technical fault lasting several hours left some horror movie fans disappointed on Friday evening.

At around 9pm the Horror Channel crashed off air for viewers with Freeview and YouView (including BT, TalkTalk and Plusnet TV) with an apology slide.

Programming continued on Sky, Freesat and Virgin Media, with the scheduled channel premiere of the Blair Witch sequel Book of Shadows being broadcast as normal.

During the outage, the channel confirmed there was problem saying:
"Sorry, but we are have a technical issue at the moment with our broadcast on some platforms.

We are working incredibly hard to rectify this."

The fault continued for over two hours with the channel advising viewers to tune into the repeat on 28th November.

Programming on the channel returned abruptly at just after 11pm.
