Sky launches BSL Zone on-demand service

Sky has partnered up with the British Sign Language Broadcasting Trust (BSLBT) to provide access to the BSL Zone on Sky Q and Sky+.

With almost 100 episodes available today's launch, Sky customers will soon also be able to enjoy regular new releases from the BSLZone. The BSL Zone can be found in the on-demand section of Sky Q and Sky +.

The content, ranging across comedy, drama, factual and more is all presented/directed in British Sign Language and will be available at no extra cost in the Sky Entertainment package. The content is made by the Deaf community for the Deaf community,

Now in their 10th year, the BSLBT was set up as a mechanism for Ofcom to regulate broadcasters to provide access provision.

The BSL Zone collection is not currently available on Sky Go or NOW TV.

Programmes from the BSL Zone can also be watched on linear TV, via Film4 on Monday mornings at 8am and Together TV on Monday evenings from 7pm.
