The channel is now running trailers to alert its viewers of the impending rebrand to HGTV, following its takeover by Discovery last year. The publicity features the stars from its programmes and is being marketed as the channel doing a "renovation" of its own.
As previously noted, Home becomes HGTV on the 21st January 2020.
HGTV - Home and Garden Television - is a brand that Discovery is currently rolling out across Europe, having been a channel brand in the USA for several decades.
The UK version of HGTV will continue showing many of Home's popular UK based property search and improvement series alongside some of the US channel's successful shows. Programmes on the channel will include DIY SOS, Fixer Upper, Escape to the Country, Sarah Beeny's Renovate Don't Relocate and Extreme Makeover.
HGTV will be broadcast on all main digital TV platforms in place of Home. Online, HGTV's live stream and on-demand programmes will be hosted on dplay UK.
