Greyhound racing moves channel as Front Runner folds

Greyhound racing has a new home after the closure of the Front Runner sports channel.

Viewers who want to follow the nightly races from Racing Post Greyhound TV (RPGTV) can now do so on Live 360 on Sky channel 175.

However, viewers with Freesat will need to wait: following the closure of Front Runner, there's currently no outlet on Freesat, but RPGTV says details will be confirmed soon.

Front Runner was launched by Information TV in 2016, was briefly carried on Freeview, and for a time operated two channels.

However, following financial difficulties at Information TV in the past year, linked to its parent company Carlauren Group Ltd, investment in the channel dried up and the channel was removed from Freesat on Thursday and Sky today, becoming the latest in a long list of linear TV channels that have closed down in January.

Horse and Country TV was also removed from satellite, as part of its move towards a connected TV service. Earlier this week, Universal TV closed. Last week, pay-per-view channel ITV Box Office ended broadcasts.
