The operator of a number of major UK commercial radio stations has apologised for a loss of service that affected satellite and internet listeners for a number of hours.
Global, who are behind stations including Heart, Capital, Smooth and LBC, began to experience problems with their online radio service, the Global Player mid-afternoon.
Later, satellite transmissions also became disrupted while Freeview, FM and DAB broadcasts remained unaffected, according to an update from the broadcaster.
Global apologised for the inconvenience caused to listeners.
