Owners of the Humax T2000 bought vin-store or an online retailer will get the new app, which offers programmes from the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 first.
Access to the app will be available once a software update, which was released today, is applied to the box. The new software update is being issued in phases, so some box owners will need to wait until the download reaches their device.
YouView says it will provide more information as and when the remainder of its receivers are ready to get the update: these will include those issued as part of a BT or TalkTalk TV package.
