The sports streaming service was due to launch at the beginning of May.
DAZN had planned to go global, including in the UK, on the 2nd May with live coverage of boxing middleweight bout Canelo v Saunders, as part of a push into pay-per-view boxing.
That event has now been postponed to some point in the future due to the Coronavirus outbreak, leading DAZN to now say it will launch sometime later this year.
Media analysts have said that DAZN's arrival in the UK, initially with boxing, could pave the way for it to take on Sky, Amazon and BT and bid for some of the next round of Premier League rights.
DAZN already offers a comprehensive range of football to viewers in other countries including Germany, where it has already been successful in outbidding established broadcasters. However, German media has reported the service has suffered a sharp increase in cancellations due to the ongoing lack of live sport.
