The iPlayer-hosted channel, which will act as a template for other extra
BBC Sport coverage this year, is offering two additional live matches
on top of the ones being shown on BBC One.
On Tuesday evening the iPlayer FA Cup Channel will stream West Bromwich Albion v Newcastle live. Alternatively, viewers will be able to stream BBC One's coverage of Chelsea v Liverpool.
On Wednesday, the FA Cup Channel will stream Tottenham Hotspur v Norwich
City live. Alternatively, fans can choose BBC One's coverage of
Sheffield Wednesday v Manchester City.
The BBC One matches will once again offer fans the ability to choose between the commentary from BBC One, BBC Radio 5 Live or to watch the match with no commentary at all.
As well as the live games the FA Cup Channel will feature classic ties from the past between the clubs set for fifth round fixtures, including Chelsea’s 4-2 victory over Liverpool in 1997 and Manchester City’s 2-1 result against Sheffield Wednesday in the third round in 2007. Each day will feature all the goals from that day, plus a look at classic moments from the fifth round in years gone by.

Once again, the FA Cup Channel gives football fans far more FA Cup action than they could ever get on our linear channels, plus the added bonus of Des Lynam back on the box for the 1997 match between Chelsea and Liverpool.

The iPlayer pop-up sports channels are designed to provide a new destination for the type of coverage that has previously solely been broadcast on BBC Red Button service, although the main elements of the FA Cup Channel will be screened on BBC RB1 (Freeview 601, Sky 981, Virgin 990) for those without access to the iPlayer. Viewers with newer smart TVs will be able to press red to go through to the iPlayer service.
