The AMC-owned subscription video-on-demand service Acorn TV, which is already operation in the US and a number of other countries will become available in the UK from the 29th April 2020.
Acorn TV specialises in drama series.
ITV period drama Foyle’s War and BBC mystery drama Keeping Faith will be among the series available at launch. Irish period mystery series Dead Still will follow later in the year.
Availability of Acorn TV
Acorn TV will at first be available via Roku, Fire TV, Android, Apple Mobile and Apple TV.
It will be added to Amazon Channels and Apple TV channels at a later date.
Sign-up and cost
A free 30 day trial is available, thereafter Acorn TV will cost £4.99 a month, or £49.99 for a year's subscription.
Viewers will be able to sign up at www.acorn.tv once the website is made available to UK users.
