Two more channels depart Sky

More linear service closures on Sky's channel list, as broadcasters migrate online.

On Sky, the only shopping channel dedicated to shoes, Pavers Shoes TV (678) has decided to go online only via YouTube, where viewers will continue to see their footwear needs catered for.

Meanwhile, Disney has axed Disney XD+1  from Sky (was ch.612) in a sign of things to come from the House of Mouse as existing contracts expire. The Disney XD brand is already being completely axed in various countries as the company focuses on Disney+, but in the UK, the main non-timeshift Disney XD service continues, for the time being, on Sky and other platforms.

The past six months has already seen the loss of numerous third party channels including 5Spike, Box Upfront, Retro TV, Universal, VH1 UK and Horse and Country TV, with the latter building its online and cable service instead. While third party channels on Sky continue to drop, Sky is concentrating on building its own core subscription channel portfolio.
