The Disney-owned channel leapfrogs CBeebies on Sky's EPG.
Baby TV has taken over Sky channel 612, after the slot was vacated by Disney XD+1 last month. The channel, which is aimed at babies, toddlers, and parents and doesn't show commercials, was originally on Sky channel 622. It became part of Disney's portfolio of channels as part of its acquisition of 21st Century Fox.
With the move, the channel leapfrogs CBeebies, CBBC and CITV on Sky's channel list.
The move comes after Ofcom required platform operators to give greater prominence to children's offshoots from the UK's public service broadcasters on the Electronic Programme Guide by the start of next year. Of all the main TV platforms, only Sky has not conformed to this rule yet.
