First free-to-air Premier League matches announced

Details have begun to emerge of the first Premier League games due to be shown on free-to-air television.

The BBC's first ever live Premier League game is due to be Bournemouth v Crystal Palace on Saturday 20th June, 19:45.

On Sunday 21st June, Sky is planning to show Everton v Liverpool (19:00) on Sky Sports and Freeview channel Pick (channel 11), currently due to be the first of 25 matches to be screened by Sky on Freeview.

The BBC's second live Premier League match is due to be Norwich v Everton on Wednesday 24th June (18:00). After that, the BBC will still have two further free-to-air matches to show, that are yet to be announced.

All games will be played behind closed doors and all fixtures and times announced so far are still provisional.
