Netflix to cease working on some older devices next month

Older Samsung Smart TVs and Rokus will no longer support Netflix when a new update is rolled out.

From December, an update by Netflix will mean older Samsung Smart TVs - reportedly pre-2016 models will no longer work with Netflix. There isn't a definite list of all affected models out there at the moment.

Users of the first generations of Roku boxes have also been told that Netflix will no longer work for them either, although with new Rokus available from around £25, it will be less expensive to replace a Roku, compared to an aging smart TV. Affected Roku users are seeing warning messages about the changes.

Affected models include Roku 2050X, Roku 2100X, Roku 2000C, Roku HD Player, Roku SD Player, Roku XR Player and the Roku XD Player.
