BBC confirms Cricket TV coverage

Cricket is the latest sport to stage a comeback, and BBC Two will be the home of free-to-air highlights from next month.

It's 20 years since the BBC last had the rights to show Test Match Cricket on its television channels. It follows a broadcasting deal with the ECB made back in 2017 that now comes into force. The deal also covers One Day England Internationals.

Cricket is due to return on 8th July at 19:00 on BBC Two, presented by 2009 Cricket World Cup-winner Isa Guha, with highlights of the first Test Match between England and the West Indies at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton.

Sir Alastair Cook and Carlos Brathwaite will also join the BBC cricket team for expert analysis.

The BBC Sport website will show video clips of all the big moments as they happen through the day along with live text commentary, audio streams from Test Match Special and audience interaction for all of England’s summer internationals.

Sky Sports will broadcast live coverage on television. BBC Test Match Special will continue to broadcast live audio commentary on BBC Radio.
