New music choice on Sky

November has heralded a number of changes across various satellite channels, with Trace Music making its move on the UK television market and a seasonal change for the Box Plus Network.

From today, Chartshow TV, Chartshow Hits and The Vault are no more: a year after Trace Music bought the channels from Sony, the new owners have rolled out new branding across the channels, rolling out the already internationally established Trace brand to the UK for the first time.

Chartshow TV (Sky 364) is now Trace Urban, The Vault rebrands as Trace Vault (Sky 365) and Chartshow Hits (Sky 366) has turned into Trace Latina, broadening the choice of music genres within the music section of the Sky programme guide.

Meanwhile, seasonal music has arrived on the Box Plus Network family of channels, with Box Upfront (Sky 358, Virgin UK 330) becoming BoXmas and the latest channel to get a seasonal rebrand.

It's the first time Box Upfront has been given a Christmas rebrand, in a sign of a change to come at the Box Plus Network, which was acquired by Channel 4 earlier in the year. It comes ahead of an expected change to its portfolio of music channels during the course of next year.
