A small promotion for Sky Two, how Total Country's slot has been filled and the removal of Peace TV: the latest changes on Sky:
In the music channel section, Now 80s has been replaced by Now Xmas on Sky channel 371, and on all platforms that carried Now 80s.
But Now 80s lives on via the former Total Country slot on Sky channel 373, which announced its sudden closure yesterday, keeping alive the slot for post-Christmas changes.
Other changes
Sky Two has moved to channel 168, after being on channel 170 since 1st October. The channel is making use of the slot left behind by YourTV when it closed down at the end of September.
Peace TV (channel 740 and in Urdu on 747), which famously got into severe trouble with Ofcom over breaches to UK broadcasting rules this year, has now been removed from the Sky channel list. The move has been described as temporary.
Meanwhile, if you have Sky Q, you can now benefit from an improved self-help function if you see the "no satellite signal" message pop-up on screen, which aims to troubleshoot any issues you may have with reception - the function now includes the option to restart the Sky Q box from your remote if all other options for restoring your signal have been exhausted. You will only be directed to this function if the no satellite signal is triggered.
