History and C+I players launch on Apple TV

A+E Networks has announced the launch of two new on-demand services based on its main factual linear channels.

History Play and Crime+Investigation Play offer exclusive documentaries, premium factual entertainment and true crime series.

The services are available through the "Apple TV channels" platform via the Apple TV app in the UK, Ireland, Germany and Austria. Viewers can either watch online or download for offline viewing.

The Apple TV app is available for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac, select Samsung and LG smart TVs with Apple TV support, and Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices.

Cost
Customers are being offered a seven-day free trial on sign-up, thereafter the services cost £3.99 a month, with viewers able to subscribe directly through the Apple TV app.
