As a result, some users have reported that the BBC's online service will no longer start on their streaming device.
The BBC has confimed it is investigating these issues, which it says causes some Roku devices to crash and restart when trying to access the BBC iPlayer. The problem appears to be linked to a recent software update applied to the devices.
A fix, or a timeframe for a fix to the problem hasn't yet been announced.
