How Amazon is making the Premier League available to all UK internet users

Amazon is finding new ways to make its forthcoming Premier League games available to more viewers.

Unlike the regular batch of December games that it has the rights to, viewers won't need to be signed up to Amazon Prime and won't necessarily need to access Prime Video to watch. It means everyone in the UK with a fast enough internet connection can watch if they want.

Amazon will be streaming its matches via Twitch in the UK, at twitch.tv/primevideo/videos, giving viewers an option to watch outside of Amazon's website and apps.

But for viewers wanting to watch on their TV, the Amazon Prime Video app is installed on many smart TVs and boxes. As the coverage is free, if you have a Freeview Play TV or any other device that includes Amazon Prime Video, you will be able to access any of the games they are showing by just going to the app.

Amazon Prime Video is also available as an app for mobiles and tablets.
